Hazelwood Local, in partnership with Weather Permitting, closed out the summer programming season with Slavic Summer Fest. The festival brought the community together from all parts of the city with an exciting lineup of live music from four dynamic bands: Black Bear Combo, Polkamaniacs, Turli Tava, and Gypsy Stringz. Alongside the music and dancing, attendees enjoyed free rollerskating in Eliza, a foam party on the Field, and a variety of Slavic food and retail vendors. Highlights included delicious bites from the Pittsburgh Pierogi Truck and Jak’s Bakery.
